On first run, write the recovery phrase on paper and keep it offline. It is the way to restore your wallet if your device is lost.

Check the address and amount on every payment. Choose whether the payment is shielded or transparent. A confirmed payment cannot be reversed.

ONE THING THAT MATTERS
Back up your recovery phrase offline.
Write the phrase down on paper and store it somewhere safe. Do not photograph it, put it in a password manager you do not control, or type it into a website that asks you to “verify” it.
Anyone who has the phrase has the coins. If you lose it, nobody — including us — can recover your wallet for you. Treat anyone asking for your phrase as a thief.
